On June 6th, Wright presents Important Italian Glass Featuring Masterworks from a Private New York Collection. The sale begins with an extraordinary collection comprised almost exclusively of iconic designs by Fulvio Bianconi and Ercole Barovier from the 1950s and 1960s. With concise provenance, this curated private collection features rare, and in some instances, unique examples from two of the most visionary designers of the 20th century. Notable highlights include Bianconi’s iconic Bikini vase, exceptional Scozzese and Con Macchie vases along with unusual examples from the Pezzato series, and rare Tessere designs by Ercole Barovier, including Egeo, Dorico, Rotellati, Intarsio, and more.

The second half of this stellar auction includes Soffiato designs by Vittorio Zecchin and Napoleone Martinuzzi, important works by Carlo Scarpa, an unusual Flavio Poli Fasce Corallo e Rosso vase, and many other exciting works from the 1920s to the 1970s. Among the highlights are two rare and magnificent works by Carlo Scarpa: a Pennellate vase in red and orange and an elegant A Fili vase in an exceptional form.
