Wright is delighted to present Recherché, a single-owner collection featuring works of exceptional quality and beauty. All 66 lots in this thoughtfully curated auction will be exhibited in our New York location at 980 Madison Avenue, beginning November 5, 2014. From a collector of broad interests and impeccable taste, the works comprising Recherché span the 18th to 20th centuries. Artwork, luxury items, objet de vertu, significant and anonymous designs are all selected with a concern for materiality and outstanding craftsmanship. Highlights of Recherché include a rare Professor desk by Jean Prouvé, a Nuage Bibliothèque by Charlotte Perriand and important lighting works by Serge Mouille. Juxtaposed with these important 20th century works are objects of great style and luxury, including a silver and gold box by Hermès and trunks by Louis Vuitton.

Recherché can be previewed in its entirety in New York from November 5 – 18. The auction will take place in Chicago at 12 pm Central Time on November 18.
