A major highlight of the Design sale is over thirty works from the Collection of Mimi Livingston, an ardent collector of design and decorative arts who was deeply involved in all aspects of the arts, museums, food, and wine in the New York metropolitan region. Trained in interior design at Winterthur in Delaware, Mimi became a docent at the Neuberger Museum of Arts at SUNY Purchase, taught courses in art and collectibles at the New School in New York City, and organized group tours and visits to museums, galleries, private collections and individual artists throughout the New York area, New England, and other locales. 

From ceramics and sculpture to studio furniture, her collection abounds with impressive examples by Jun Kaneko, Ruth Duckworth, Viola Frey, Judy Kensley McKie, Michael Coffey, Albert Paley, and more.
