The Vision of
Fern Moss Kalai

On July 25th, Wright is honored to present Arts 220: The Vision of Fern Moss Kalai—also known as Fern Simon—including an eclectic range of art and design featured at Arts 220, the longstanding retail boutique in Winnetka, Illinois, and from her personal collection. With training in art history and a modernist aesthetic, Fern opened Arts 220 in 1987 and exhibited regularly over the years at Chicago's Merchandise Mart. This auction showcases her inimitable curatorial sensibility, with an inspired array of works by Robert Goodnough, Oskar Schlemmer, Andrew Masullo, José Luis Cuevas, Davis Allen, Charles and Ray Eames, Gaetano Pesce, Mathieu Matégot, Gae Aulenti, Line Vautrin, Karl Lagerfeld, and many others.
