This bowl and saucer were made while Bertoia was a student at Cranbrook and were featured in a display of his metalwork designs in May of 1942.
Inscribed to underside of each example ‘Cranbrook 1941 Sterling’ with incised artist's initials ‘HB’. Engraved monogram to each example ‘FBD’. This work is included in the Harry Bertoia Catalogue Raisonné and assigned the following number: D.HO.15.
