I Want to Know All
of You: The Art &
Collection of Jason Polan

Information View Lots

On May 3rd, Wright proudly presents I Want to Know All of You: The Art & Collection of Jason Polan at auction. Explore over 200 captivating works and printed marvels from the ingenious mind of Jason Polan and an array of esteemed artists. Despite passing from cancer in 2020 at only thirty-seven, Polan's impact on the contemporary art world, especially the vibrant milieu of post-millennial New York City, was profound. Unassuming, Polan's work immortalized humanity's quirks and nuances, capturing the essence of subway riders, diners, and museum visitors alike. Polan's inclusive aesthetic comes to life through original drawings, sculpture, photography, and ephemera, alongside cherished works by fellow artists in this unprecedented auction event.

Polan was an illustrator-drawer-artist of modern art and life. There was no irony in his work. His was an art of taking pleasure in and appreciating the people, places, and things of the world. His oeuvre is a mirthful illustrated encyclopedia of modern life, body language, styles, and habits.
