Wright Auction

Andrea Gill earned a degree in painting before discovering what became her life's work: ceramics. Gill's training served her well as she became one of the pioneers in the resurgence of decorative earthenware and majolica techniques. A hallmark of her work is her deft combination of volume, structure, pattern and color with a range of historical and contemporary shapes and themes. Gill was inducted into the American Craft Council's College of Fellows in 2012 and, in her interview, discussed her career and approach to ceramics.
