Although the Libellula vase was first designed by Vittorio Zecchin for Venini in 1921, several other Muranese manufacturers produced similar models. The handle attachments placed below the lip and the inverted cone foot suggest a maker other than Venini/Cappellin, perhaps the Succ. Andrea Rioda firm which produced high quality Soffiato glass during the 1920s.
