The print/multiple titled Modern Times is a trip into the realm of the modern. It is a journey into a recent past and a near distant future; a region of shifting time and place. It is a portal through which we view the signs and symbols of the quest for passage. One may interpret Modern Times, with its angles, unsettling attachment to the wall, as a refection of the shaky reality of a dream gone sour; a view from the deck of the rocking boat. But the idealism of the streamlined form remains intact in its beauty and its materials. A romantic view of a modern classicist vision lives on, even as our post-modern world seems to crumble before us.
