This unique helmet was made for the late American businessman, philanthropist and heir to the Frito-Lay fortune, Carter Lay. Lay, a sports enthusiast, often participated in charity car races and had artist Shepard Fairey paint two racing helmets for the 2013 Toyota Pro/Celebrity race. The 10-lap race place celebrities in competition with professional auto racers and raised money for “Racing for Kids”, a fund-raising program that benefitted children's hospitals in Long Beach and Orange County. In 2013, Adam Carolla was the professional winner and Rutledge Wood was the celebrity winner.
