Roger Ramsay opened his eponymous gallery on Michigan Avenue in 1981. Over the years, Roger Ramsay Gallery featured works in nearly every medium and in motifs ranging from classical to abstract, including the first exhibition of drawings by Adolf Hirémy-Hirschl in the United States. Roger featured the work of artists from Chicago, the U.S., Canada, and Europe, from the late 19th century to the 21st century. Chicago-based artists exhibited by Roger include Jeanette Pasin Sloan, Claes Oldenburg, Randy Dudley, and Elizabeth Ockwell among others. Roger Ramsay Gallery closed in 2018.
