The Executive chair was originally designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1946.
Lot is comprised of six Executive Chairs in different fabrics from The Nick Cave Collection including three with Vert fabrics in Terrain, Bamboo, and Garden and three with Puff fabrics, in Evergreen, Cloud, and Honey. Signed to each example 'Nick Cave'.

Eero Saarinen’s 1946 Executive Chair with ebonized walnut legs, featured in nearly all Florence Knoll-designed interiors, transformed the idea of office furniture. With its sculptural form and supportive comfort, it works as well in modern dining rooms as it does in conference rooms.

The present set features Vert fabric from The Nick Cave Collection by Knoll Textiles on three examples. Nick Cave’s installation Architectural Forest inspired the energetic and complex upholstery Vert. This multicolor, variegated, full-width repeat captures the blend of perfection and imperfection that Cave’s work celebrates.

Three chairs are upholstered in Puff from The Nick Cave Collection by Knoll a cozy faux shearling with a plush, lofty feel, is available in a wide range of colors based on Nick Cave’s rainbow-colored synthetic-hair Soundsuit.
