This work is from the edition of an unknown size of unique variants handcrafted in Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará, Brazil following local artisan traditions produced for the exhibition Ai Weiwei RAIZ held at OCA, Ibirapuera Park, São Paulo, 20 October 2018 - 20 January 2019. Sold with a copy of the exhibition catalog Raiz Weiwei and a certificate of authenticity from the artist.

I grew up in the most restrictive society. We paid so much for any gesture or show of attitude....Humans are so fixed in their ways: when to sleep, when to eat, our educational systems that teach us what we can or can’t do, all these religious reasons and fake moral structures. I don’t understand why you would set yourself up to be afraid.
