A pioneer in modern English studio pottery, Katherine Pleydell-Bouverie (1895-1985) spent time working with Bernard Leach at his pottery in St. Ives early in her career and is best-known for her wood-ash glazes.
Impressed signature to base ‘KB’ and incised number to underside ‘116’.
