For more than four decades, Ted Muehling has been designing jewelry and decorative objects inspired by nature and its organic forms. He creates one-of-a-kind pieces and multiples in his New York studio using a variety of metals and diverse materials such as precious and semi-precious stones, ceramics, wood, and pearls. Muehling’s unique vision is derived from a very close observation of natural elements and the meticulous collection of objects found outdoors. He has been hailed as the “thinking woman’s jeweler” and his work is included in numerous public and private collections and has received several honors, including the Chrysler Design Award and the American Fashion Coty Award.
