Signed, titled and dated to to underside of each example ‘1999 Peter Norton Family Christmas Project by Vik Muniz made by Bernardaud in Limoges, France’. These works are from the edition published by the Peter Norton Family Christmas Project, Santa Monica. Lot includes a plate featuring a recreation of Caravaggio's Medusa (1590, Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence) rendered in pasta marinara and an ashtray with an interpretation of Caspar David Friedrich's The Wanderer above the Sea Fog (1818, Hamburger Kunsthalle) in cigarette ashes. Sold with family holiday card with drawings by Al Hirshfeld and Nina Paley, and original packaging.
