The color of the sub seconds hand was made to match the blue color of the official flag depicting the Presidental Seal. The wooden boxes that accompany the watch have the Presidential seal embossed on the top. Made privately for the office of a U.S. President, these watches were given as gifts to foreign heads of state, friends and family of the President, and were never available to the general public.
