Specially commissioned for a solo exhibition of Ron Gilad's work, Ron Gilad Spaces Etc. / A Exercise in Utility at Wright in 2009, this coffee table exemplifies Gilad's minimalist sensibility. One of a series of coffee tables inspired by blueprints, Gilad distills the linear purity of architectural drawings into a single expression of rigorous geometric clarity. The rectilinear shape of the table is heightened by inlays of brass, while the warm Swiss pear wood enlivens the design.
