With its versatile and timeless geometric design, this mid-century Persian kilim is distinguished for actually being multiple weavings stitched together into one oversized abstract work. Each component was woven on a narrow loom with high-quality, naturally dyed wool and later stitched together by hand. Known for their durability, kilims are made with using flatweave tapestry techniques and therefore remain distinct from other forms of piled Persian carpets.
