Along with the staircases, this door is one of the few elements designed by Jean Prouvé for the Unité d'Habitation in Marseille, a large-scale housing project conceived by Le Corbusier and completed in 1952. Originally covered with dark green chalkboard paint, this sliding, double-sided door served both as a separation between the two children's rooms and also as a writing board.
