Shortly after moving to Los Angeles in 1910, Alfonso Iannelli was hired by the new Orpheum Theater to design lobby showcards for travelling vaudeville acts. The present lot is an original hand-painted showcard promoting the English singer Alice Lloyd complete with a cut-out to the lower right corner where changing performance dates and show times could be posted.
Signed to lower right ‘Iannelli’.
