Stamped to lower right ‘Robert Motherwell A la pintura’. Signed and dated to lower right ‘R Motherwell 1972-79’. Embossed printer's mark to lower left ‘ULAE’. This work is from the edition of 40 printed by Donn Steward and published by Universal Limited Art Editions, New York. This work is from a portfolio of 21 prints that also feature text by the Spanish poet Rafael Alberti.
An example of this work is held in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago.
