Information View Lots

Wright begins 2019 with Art + Design, an auction featuring original works of art, photography, prints and more alongside design and objects by the 20th century’s most notable artists and designers.

Imi Knoebel Kinderstern $7,000–9,000

Works from the Collection
of James and Paula Ladwig

Wright is proud to present works from the Collection of James and Paula Ladwig. Grammy award winning designer James Ladwig (1934-2014) is known for creating some of the most iconic album covers for bands such as Fleetwood Mac and The Rolling Stones and The Faces through his company AGI, as well as inventing the Digipak for CDs. He and his wife Paula were also avid collectors and travelers, building an idiosyncratic collection based upon their shared love of music, photography, racecars, folk art, as well as a roving curiosity and joie de vivre. Paula describes Jim as “always up and moving side to side, really appreciating life,” and this exciting and diverse collection shows their mutual enthusiasm for the world around them.
