Wright Auction

One of Chicago’s most notable art patrons, Judith E. Neisser amassed a spectacular collection throughout her lifetime. A design and architecture critic early on, Neisser’s discerning eye lead her to collect historically significant works of Minimal and Conceptual art from the 1960s and 70s, many of which have found their way into the permanent collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Chicago and The Art Institute of Chicago through her generous endowments. Later in life, Neisser split her time between a home in Aspen and a sleek condo in Chicago, both residences designed by Chicago-based architects, Stanley Tigerman and Margaret McCurry, where contemporary art hung alongside significant ethnographic works. Wright is pleased to offer a selection of works from her ethnographic and design collection.
