This form is widely recognized as a Josef Hoffmann design because it was utilized in his Fledermaus Cabaret late in 1907. Scholarship suggests that Gustav Siegel may have designed this chair two years earlier, and because both designers were employed by Jacob & Josef Kohn it is believed they collaborated on this form.
