Each example includes a unique variation of artist David Hammons most well-known work, The Man Who Was Never Shot. The subject of the work is Michael Stewart, a New York graffiti artist who died as a result of injuries sustained while in police custody following an arrest by the New York City Transit Police.
Signed dated and numbered to introduction page of each example ' Paul H-O 87'. Lot includes numbers 131, 132, 135 and 138 from the edition of 200 published by Eye Publications, New York.
