This one-of-a-kind table clock was a gift from an unknown admirer to the French, singer, actor and entertainer Maurice Chevalier perhaps best known for his songs Louise and Thank Heaven for Little Girls and the films The Love Parade and The Big Pong for both of which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor. This personal memento is inscribed 'avec mon meilleur souvenir, et ma sympathique admiration' which translates to 'with my best memories and friendly admiration'.
An agate table clock with mother-of-pearl dial, a gold, blue and white enamel bezel and 18 karat gold dial hands and roman numerals from the 1920s. Engraved inscription to the famed singer and actor, Maurice Chevalier.
