Ron Kostyniuk's work manifests his fascination with biology and the structuring process found in nature. Inspired by modernist and constructivist artists such as Pablo Picasso, Charles Biederman and Vladimir Tatlin, Kostyniuk does not seek to reproduce nature, rather he employs a calculated approach of configuring geometric relief constructions. The present lot manifests his deliberate use color, light and shadows to mimic and simulate the world around us.
