Rene Crevel
Rene Crevel (born in Rouen, France) was a painter, designer, and decorative artist active between the two wars. Crevel made his artistic debut with portrait and landscape paintings at the Salon d’Automne in 1920, but his artistic endeavors were multifaceted. A member of the Societe des Artistes-Decorateurs, Crevel also designed jewelry, ceramics and carpets. He worked for a number of manufacturers including the Manufcature Francaise de Tapis et de Couvertures, Grands Magasins a la Place Clichy and Coupe a Bourganeuf.
