Raymond McGrath was an Australian-born architect and interior designer who served as Principle Architect for the Office of Public Works in Ireland. McGrath had many commissions but his best known work was the 1936 modernist, circular Hill House in St Ann’s Court, Chertsey. Although this lamp's origin is unknown, it is a rare and exceptional design.
