Paule Leleu
Daughter of the French sculptor and furniture designer Jules Leleu, Paule Leleu (1906-1987) became the chief rug designer at her father’s business when Ivan da Silva Bruhns left in 1936. Leleu designed more than 500 carpets in her career; her works often feature symmetrical arrangements and repeating geometric motifs.
