Ib Kofod-Larsen designed this chair for The Megiddo Collection of Israel, a furniture series commissioned by Mendell Selig of Selig Furniture. In the late 1960s, Selig sent Kofod-Larsen to Israel with the instruction "to make believe you are King Soloman’s carpenter." The resulting collection of furniture combines the Danish Modern aesthetic with the then recently discovered artistic motifs from the archaeological dig site in Megiddo. Signed with applied metal manufacturer's label to underside: [The Megiddo Collection Made in Israel].
