This desk with a Securit (Vitrex) glass top comes from the interior of the Bialetti company headquarters in Omegna, Italy designed by the architect Silvio Berrone. In 1957, Berrone was awarded 100,000 Lira for his innovative and modern use of Vis Securit crystal for the interior and facade of the Bialetti building.
Signed with acid etched manufacturer's marks to glass elements and drawer fronts: [Vitrex].
