In 1993, Jordan Mozer designed Fred’s, the fine-dining room for Barney’s flagship store located at 61st and Madison in New York. The chair is named after Fred Pressman, son of Barney Pressman (founder of Barney’s) and visionary who transformed the discount retailer into the elite luxury goods department store it is today. Less than forty Fred’s dining chairs were produced for Barney’s.
