Post-modernist, Peter Shire created this table in the 1980s when he was a member of the radical design collective Memphis. Inspired by the vibrant car culture in Los Angeles, Shire selected "Candy Apple" finishes for the base and had the table painted by a professional car detailer. This work is one of two examples.
