In his work for Venini, architect and painter Tomaso Buzzi designed elegant sculptural objects, vases and lighting in the Novecento style. He developed several new techniques and achieved gem-like tonalities of color in the Laguna, Alba, and Alga series. Although his tenure at Venini was brief, from 1932-1934, his work is considered some of the most influential in the history of the company.
