Lucio Fontana, the famous painter and sculptor, founded Spatialism, an art movement characterized by a synthesis of color, space, movement and time. From abstract-expressionist sculptures and paintings to monochromatic canvases with holes and slashes, Fontana’s works changed modern art.
In the late 1940s and early 1950s, Fontana collaborated with the architect Osvaldo Borsani, creating unique interiors for some of Italy’s wealthiest patrons.
