In 1976 Isamu Noguchi designed the Friendship Fountain, a 150-foot steel frame structure to be erected on the edge of the Missouri river. While the fountain was never realized, this letter illustrates Noguchi’s involvement as a consultant on the Arts committee of the Riverfront Development Program for the American Bicentennial of Omaha, Nebraska.
