This design received honorable mention in the Museum of Modern Art's Lamp Design competition of 1951. There are two variants of this design; the earliest examples feature a single bracket riveted at the top of the four panels while the later variants feature an additional bracket and rivet at the top to strengthen the support for the panels.
This early example of the lamp is sold with its original tag.
