This rare Edvin vase is one of 113 works produced from 1944-1947. Edvin glass was a technique developed by Edvin Ohrstom that later evolved into the Ariel technique. This work features the first known depiction of the young woman and dove, which was ultimately to become Ohrstrom's most popular motif in Ariel glass. Incised signature to underside: [Orrefors Sweden 1944 Edwin nr 21 E. Ohrstrom].
