These notebooks were utilized by the Philip Johnson while studying architectural engineering at Harvard University; they contain class assignments, tests and worksheets along with drawings, notes and signatures throughout. In 1957 Johnson gifted the notebooks to Robert Melik Finkle who was then an apprentice and architecture student at Yale University.
