Several prominent Milanese architects including Albini, Gardella, Parisi and Ponti developed pared-down pedestal tables in a local modernist idiom. In contrast Buffa’s tables, like this one, are consistent with his pre-war work and exemplify a typically Milanese taste for complex geometries and opulent effects.
