The Gazelle furniture, introduced in 1956, stands as the finest series created by Johnson for his eponymous design studio. The line included tables and chairs, all offered in three materials: aluminum, walnut and bronze. Each piece was entirely handcrafted in Italy and the Gazelle line embodies a sophistication and elegance associated with Italian design. Due to the high cost of production, fewer than 150 pieces from the Gazelle line were produced during a short four-year period.
