This work has been authenticated by the Gio Ponti archives. The Apta series was designed in 1970 and presented the same year in Milan at Eurodomus 3, an exhibition that explored new developments for the modern house. The furniture in this series was designed to be flexible and adaptable for use in smaller spaces. Each of the tables, rendered in a bright, two-color palette over white lacquer, are equipped with folding leaves. This drop-leaf table measures 47 w x 21.25 d x 29.5 h inches when folded.
