This chair was one of three examples commissioned directly from Robert Mallet-Stevens by the painter Albert Dequenne (1897-1973) for his house in northern France. The massive oak frame features a canvas sling that can be adjusted in two positions. Sold with a certificate of authenticity from Antoine Delerive who acquired the chair directly from Dequenne.
