The Piano Lamp was initially designed by Oud as a wedding gift for a friend. The elemental geometries used in the design illustrate the influence of Bauhaus design principles, in addition to his connection with the De Stijl movement in Holland. This design is in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
