Carved hard-paste porcelain painted with underglaze colors. The footed body is decorated with a low-relief frieze of roots and bamboo trees culminating in a jungle of wild fruit, orchids, giant fronds, bamboo and a deep landscape. The lid is pierced, hand-carved and reticulated featuring a stylized bamboo thatch. Signed with stamped manufacturer's marks to underside in green: [Three Castles B & G Kj*bendhavn Danmark] and stamped artist's signature to underside of body in blue: [N.629 JO B & G].
