These four lamps were award-winning designs in the influential 1951 Low Cost Lighting Competition put on by the Museum of Modern Art and Heifetz manufacturing Company. A testament to the ingenuity of the lamps’ designers and the competition jury, the forms and materials utilized in these examples forecast the styles that dominated 1950s design.
