In 1987, while working in Ettore Sottsass' studio, Lawrence Laske was asked by Sottsass to submit a few lamps for the last Memphis show in Milan. Laske completed ten drawings of lamps and presented them to Sottsass, with six being selected by Sottsass to be prototyped. The lamps are all uniquely interactive, as a pin is utilized to raise and lower the arm, adjusting the pivoting light source.
