This table was made for Casa Encantada, Robsjohn-Gibbings most important American commission. Designed from 1934 to 1938, Casa Encantada was decorated completely by Robsjohn-Gibbings for Hilda Weber, widow of the industrialist J. O. Weber. The interior utilized a fusion of Egyptian-Revival, Greco-Roman and Chinese styles. This table epitomizes the high level of craftsmanship in design and execution utilized throughout the commission.
